FacilicorpNB’s Clinical Engineering Department applies engineering and managerial skills to this health-care technology throughout the life cycle of medical devices. We work with our customers to plan for, evaluate and inspect new health-care technologies. We inspect and maintain the equipment and we ensure the compliance of the medical technology with applicable regulations. We support the investigation of any incidents related to medical equipment and we participate actively in the training and education of technical and medical personnel regarding the use of specialized equipment. Finally, we aid in the process to determine when a piece of equipment has reached its "end of life", and take a lead role in the decommissioning process for our customers.
